{"id":488,"date":"2022-05-07T15:20:26","date_gmt":"2022-05-07T15:20:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/deel.quebec\/projets\/axe1-robustesse\/projet-2\/"},"modified":"2022-09-01T19:54:44","modified_gmt":"2022-09-01T19:54:44","slug":"projet-2","status":"publish","type":"projets","link":"https:\/\/deel.quebec\/en\/projets\/axe1-robustesse\/projet-2\/","title":{"rendered":"How to train models to be robust to insignificant misleading perturbations?"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><b>Developing a general methodological framework to achieve robustness to adversarial instances through detection and regularization<\/b><\/h3>\n<h6><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ONGOING<\/span><\/h6>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For models to achieve adversarial robustness, they need to perform under small perturbations crafted to mislead them, which is a key part of the robustness axis.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The tremendous progress and success of Deep Neural Networks has also come with discovery of many of their weaknesses. Specifically, they have been proved to be vulnerable to small\/insignificant perturbations that would be imperceptible to humans but that easily misleads models. These so-called adversarial examples are a threat to the deployment of these models in safety critical applications.
